It makes coffee very fast and it is really hot when done. This is the best coffee pot to own. It is very convenient for small amounts of coffee needed. I own Farberware coffee pots in all sizes for all occasions. You won't be sorry if you purchase them.
My mother wanted a small electric percolator and requested Farberware by name. I ignored her request and shopped around and found this percolator highly recommended, so I bought one. My mom was right again and she loves it.

The previous one was made in USA. LOL I am disappointed to see that Farberware crapped out and is manufacturing in China.

It sounds like the space shuttle is being launched when you first start it. The craftsmanship is obviously inferior to the percolator I owned for 20 years.
It's sad that I'm already anticipating this Chinese perker to die within a year or so.
Plus it keeps it hot so the second cup tastes just as good as the first. What can compare to a good cup of old fashioned percolated coffee. This Farberware pot does just that and fast too. By all means get one. Compact, no parts to keep buying really delivers on taste especially if you grind your own beans.
